The prestigious Lloyds Bank National Business Awards honours Britain’s thriving business scene by recognising entrepreneurial companies, start-ups and SMEs that have set new standards of excellence across all sectors. Entries for the prestigious awards ceremony have opened today for its 19th year celebrating the best in business.

The LLoyds Bank National Business Awards is open to organisations of all sizes across all sectors in the UK, rewarding companies for their achievements and triumphs. With 15 categories up for bids, all businesses are encouraged to apply regardless of the size, scale and location of their company. Entrepreneurs, start-ups, global corporates and more are welcome to apply for the flagship awards programme, which recognises excellence, innovation and ethics in business. Our very own Scott English, Elite Business head of brand, will also be one of the judges at the awards ceremony.

“With 15 categories, the awards allow any successful organisation to tell their story, from large private and public companies to thriving entrepreneurial businesses, promising start-ups and established SMEs,” Sarah Austin, Awards Director said. “When it comes to business recognition, the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards are the ones to win.”

The awards programme encourages diversity of applicants – no matter the industry sector – as every business can stand a chance to clinch a trophy in their honour.

“All companies within the UK, whether public, private or third sector, are welcome—indeed positively encouraged—to enter this year’s awards programme, regardless of size, location or industry sector, Ms Austin added. “In fact, it is the diversity and range of our applicants, finalists and winners that makes this programme such a very special celebration of UK business.”

The 15
th award is for The Leader of the Year, the highest accolade in the National Business Awards programme. The award recognises the UK’s most high-profile leader and their impact on the culture and success of their organisation. Five CEOs will be shortlisted across various private, public and third sectors and the winner will be presented during the evening ceremony. Previous winners include Timpson CEO James Timpson, Jayne-Anne Gadhia, Carolyn McCall and Moya Greene (former CEOs of Virgin Money, easyJet and Royal Mail, respectively).

The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards ceremony will take place on the 10h November at Grosvenor House Hotel in a glittering black-tie gala evening. Over 1,200 of the UK’s top business leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians and media representatives will be present, bringing forth an opportunity to mingle, network and rub shoulders in an extravagant setting.
