Lick rolls on to greater heights with NetSuite

A multi-million pound business is spearheading its growth with NetSuite.

Lick, the UK-headquartered home décor brand, has turned to NetSuite’s integrated business software to gain better control over its finances, manage its inventory levels, and improve the data it has access to in order to monitor its performance.

Founded in 2019, Lick has grown fast and established itself as a multi-million pound business with customers across Europe and the U.S., with a range of paint, wallpaper, and decorating tools. But at the time of launch – and with home decoration surging in popularity during the pandemic – Lick found that its separate, disconnected inventory and finance software systems meant that internal teams had to take on time-consuming manual work to keep an eye on finances and inventory.

Lick selected NetSuite to simplify and scale its growing international operations, expand visibility, and gain greater control over inventory and costs.

“As we’ve grown and become more complex, we needed a fully integrated system to increase efficiency as we scale operations,” said Lucas London, chief executive officer and co-founder, Lick. “The future for Lick is to build the biggest decorating community and brand in the world, and NetSuite will be a big part of that as we scale. With NetSuite, information is consolidated and available in real time, which helps us reduce costs and make better, faster decisions.”

Since using NetSuite, Lick has been able to automate many of its previous manual finance processes, while integrating inventory management, order processing, and reporting data.

Lick has also streamlined its tax, reporting, and currency processing activities across its subsidiaries with the help of NetSuite OneWorld. In addition, NetSuite has enabled Lick to manage inventory and sales from across its multichannel ecosystem, with direct connections to third parties to further improve the accuracy of inventory reporting and increase stock efficiency.

“Lick is on a mission to build the biggest decorating brand in the world and is in the perfect position to take advantage of the home transformation revolution,” said Nicky Tozer, SVP, EMEA, Oracle NetSuite. “With NetSuite, Lick has a partner to help capitalise on that opportunity, using a scalable platform to improve visibility, enhance collaboration, and help drive profitable growth.”
