Thousands of businesses across the UK have temporarily shut down amid the coronavirus outbreak as people are forced to remain indoors. With new lockdown protocols in place, many SMEs are facing the impacts on their businesses. Now, SMEs can receive helpful advice on how to deal with the coronavirus lockdown in the UK’s first online business festival to be launched this month.

The “Lockdown Business Festival” will see over 30 business experts from all over the world providing SME owners with the tools, advice and strategies on how to cope with the impacts of lockdown on their businesses. The Lockdown Business Festival is launched by serial entrepreneur Andrew Ellis, founder of The Like Minds, as part of his latest project to help business owners manage their companies during the coronavirus epidemic towards a more positive and brighter future. The digital platform will be able to host over 100,000 delegates, enabling a truly profound and engaging experience for business leaders and experts in a global experience.

Speakers will include Tiffany St James, ex-Advisor to The Speaker of the House of Commons, who will talk about how to run an online interactive workshop from London. Jake Shaw Futurist, Entrepreneur, filmmaker, podcaster and content creator will speak about "How to create a podcast" from Somerset. Rob Pendleton ex-PricewaterhouseCoopers will speak about generating guaranteed business growth in the post-pandemic world from Cornwall. Peter Shankman, Futurist-in-Residence at Epic Marketing Consultants Corporation will hold a talk called "Help a reporter out" from his base in New York.

Other speakers include Rachael Howarth, ex-Digital Partnership Director for Auto Trader will touch on sales strategy from Devon. “The online Lockdown Festival is to help business pivot towards a more sustainable future where businesses can thrive online in a way they haven’t addressed before," creator of the “Like Minds Lockdown Business Festival”, Andrew Ellis said. "Masterclass Sessions are being led by some of the leading global practitioners in digital transformation, change management, business funding, and mental health to help SMEs and business owners cope with the impact that the lockdown has had on our businesses. The beauty is you can take part in it all from the comfort of your own home, where ever you are in the world.”

He added: "If you need help to bring your business fully online, pivot from your current strategy or just be made aware of the tools, strategies, and methodologies that you should look to implement during the current situation we’re all facing, this week-long series of hourly events are for you".

Participants can attend each of the masterclass sessions in a virtual table with ten other attendees, who are all running their own businesses, including the hosts of the sessions. The sessions will run every hour from 9 am to 6 pm, from 20th April to 24th April so that everyone can juggle their day-to-day tasks and other family duties around the individual sessions.
