NetSuite is advancing its vision for autonomous ERP with new AI capabilities designed to help businesses automate routine work, identify operational issues and make faster, more informed decisions. Unveiled at SuiteWorld 2026 in Las Vegas, the innovations come as NetSuite Next and Ask Oracle begin rolling out in the UK.

During his opening keynote, NetSuite founder and executive vice president Evan Goldberg outlined how AI is fundamentally changing the way businesses interact with ERP.

“The old way software works is over,” Goldberg told delegates.

NetSuite believes ERP is evolving from software that people navigate and operate into an intelligent platform that anticipates what needs attention, surfaces relevant insights, and helps get work done.

“ERP has been something that you have had to navigate,” Goldberg said. “Now it starts coming to you.”

NetSuite Next lays the foundations

NetSuite Next, which has begun rolling out internationally starting with the UK, Australia and New Zealand, lays the foundation for NetSuite’s Autonomous Suite vision.

Described as NetSuite’s most significant update since its founding in 1998, NetSuite Next brings together embedded AI, contextual intelligence and agent-led workflows to help businesses gain insights and act on them.

In the UK, Ask Oracle, NetSuite’s conversational AI assistant, is also being introduced into existing customer accounts.

Employees can use natural language to ask questions, analyse data, create records and saved searches without navigating menus or building reports.

“If you can say it, you can get it done,” Goldberg said.

Ask Oracle operates within existing NetSuite roles and permissions, ensuring users can only access information they are authorised to see. It also shows the data behind its responses, helping employees make informed decisions.

Advancing the Autonomous Suite

Building on these capabilities, NetSuite’s Autonomous Suite vision goes further, with AI agents increasingly able to identify issues, coordinate work and take action across business processes.

But greater autonomy doesn’t mean removing human judgement. Customers remain in control, setting goals, defining guardrails and deciding where approval is required.

“It didn’t change anything on its own,” Goldberg explained during a keynote demonstration showing AI in practice. “It brought three options with the evidence behind each one and the decision stayed with a person. That’s how agents work in NetSuite.”

A key differentiator is the business context behind the AI.

“Reasoning without context is just guessing with confidence,” Goldberg said. “To run a business, AI has to be grounded in the way that business actually works.”

By combining AI with financial and operational data, business processes and established permissions, NetSuite aims to help customers move beyond generating answers to taking meaningful action.

For growing businesses, this could mean identifying potential cash flow issues, inventory imbalances or billing gaps earlier, freeing employees to focus on higher-value work.

Putting AI to work

Among the innovations announced at SuiteWorld are more than 45 SuiteSkills, which combine NetSuite’s business expertise with AI reasoning to help customers investigate issues and take supported action.

Covering finance, billing, inventory, projects, sales and other business functions, SuiteSkills can help identify financial variances, potential revenue leakage and fulfilment delays.

Customers with access to NetSuite Next can access SuiteSkills through Ask Oracle or supported external AI services via the NetSuite AI Connector Service, which more than 13,000 customers have adopted.

NetSuite also introduced industry-specific SuiteAgents and AI Workspaces designed to help businesses coordinate more complex processes. Its Autonomous Close vision, for example, aims to help finance teams identify and resolve accounting issues throughout the reporting period, ultimately working towards a zero-day close.

These innovations reflect NetSuite’s broader ambition to move AI beyond a passive assistant into an active business partner.

For growing businesses, the opportunity is to manage increasing complexity without necessarily expanding teams at the same pace. However, businesses will still need reliable data, well-defined processes and appropriate controls as AI takes on greater responsibility.

NetSuite’s direction is clear: ERP is evolving from a system of record into an intelligent business platform that understands how a company operates and increasingly helps get work done.
