Founded by Louise Archer in 2020, Retrained Search was born from first-hand experience. After years of working on a contingent model, Louise saw the instability, wasted effort, and under-valuation that many recruiters faced. Her turning point came when she
built a retained search function at Airswift from scratch—generating over $12 million in retained revenue. She knew this model could change the game for recruiters worldwide.
Since then, we’ve helped over 1,500 recruiters master the retained model through our flagship Search Foundations programme, equipping them with the confidence, structure, and strategies to win and deliver retained assignments. As we’ve grown, we’ve expanded
