Vodafone’s on-going support for SMEs

Over the past three years, telecommunications’ giant Vodafone has helped more than one million small businesses to upskill their digital capabilities.

Vodafone’s on-going support for SMEs

Vodafone’s highly-acclaimed V-Hub, which was built and launched during the UK’s first Covid lockdown, has recently celebrated its third birthday. The aim of this hub was to help small and medium sized businesses improve their digital knowledge and capabilities – and it has certainly achieved that.

As things stand, more than one million SMEs have benefited from Vodafone’s business support platforms that have offered a range of free courses, training and expert guidance. Business owners and their staff have since upskilled their digital know-how, thanks to platforms that have helped them get to grips with accelerated advances in technology.

Those using V-hub have enjoyed one-to-one guidance from business experts, either online or via the phone. Training covers everything from setting up a business, to finding new customers and protecting yourself from cyber-threats.

The two most popular courses on the V-hub platform are: ‘Tips for businesses during the cost-of-living crisis’ and ‘Steps to digitally transform your business (most common security threats).’ And Vodafone revealed that businesses based in Birmingham, Kent, London, Manchester and West Berkshire, were the most prevalent visitors to the V-hub platform.

The popular V-hub is part of Vodafone’s everyone-connected initiative that aims to help four million people cross the digital divide by 2025. Vodafone’s UK business director, Nick Gliddon, said: “I am pleased that we are marking V-Hub’s third birthday with such positive news.

“We have helped over one million businesses in the UK and Vodafone has a central belief that UK businesses should be supported to ensure they have the right technology and skills to benefit from the digital economy.

“These SMEs have used V-Hub to upskill their digital capabilities, while also using our knowledge centre for advice on security. It’s been a valuable tool during the cost of living crisis and I would like to thank our partner Enterprise Nation for all their commitment, passion and advice in making this happen.”

Vodafone business ambassador, Steven Bartlett, added: “Without guidance and support, I would not be where I am today. What I love about Vodafone’s V-Hub service is that it gives you free access to resources, workshops and webinars. You also receive one-to-one assistance.”
