The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, held at The JW Marriott Grosvenor House on the 20th of November, saw 1,400 members of the entrepreneurial community come together to witness 20 different awards given out to entrepreneurs in categories such as Retail, Sustainability, Scale-Up and Technology.
Recognised annually as one of the most prestigious accolades in the entrepreneurial world, The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards received over 5,000 applications this year alone.
Francesca James, founder of The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said:
“I am thrilled to witness the extraordinary achievements of this year’s winners. Their success stories are a testament to the dynamic and innovative spirit that thrives within UK entrepreneurship. These inspiring entrepreneurs embody the creativity, determination, and passion that are at the heart of our nation’s business success. Their accomplishments not only celebrate their own journeys but also light the way for future generations of innovators and business leaders”.
Allica Bank CEO, Richard Davies, said:
“It has been a real honour to sponsor this year’s GBEA awards. Hearing the inspiring stories from this year’s winners really brings to life the important contribution British entrepreneurs make to our economy. At Allica, we couldn’t be more excited to see such a talented group of individuals making their mark in the business world and we’ll be keeping a close eye on what they do next.”
Allica Bank’s Chief Product and Strategy Officer, Conrad Ford, had the privilege of awarding the overall winner of the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Dr. Ben Maruthappu MBE of Cera Care.
About Ben Maruthappu MBE of Cera Care:
Having witnessed the challenges of the UK’s social care system as a doctor, Ben launched Cera Care in 2016 with a clear mission: to empower people to live longer, healthier lives in the comfort of their own homes. Ben saw a gap in the market for digitalisation and technology to create a sustainable model for care.
Cera launched at a time when the UK’s care sector faced staffing shortages, underfunding and a chronic lack of innovation. Cera has recently announced its commitment to delivering five million care visits this winter, which is predicted to save the NHS £100 million and reduce hospital waiting times.
