Serve Legal is the UK’s market-leading compliance audit and mystery shopping provider, operating across the UK and internationally. We help organisations evidence due diligence, manage regulatory risk and protect customer welfare in high-scrutiny environments. Our work focuses on what happens at the point of service, not written policy alone: the real conversations, decisions and behaviours that determine whether rules protect businesses and the people they serve.

We deliver large-scale audit programmes covering age verification, mystery shopping, staff training assessments, food allergen compliance, venue safety, safer gambling and wider operational compliance. Each year we complete over 250,000 audits through a trained auditor network that can operate at scale, including in remote and hard-to-reach locations. Programmes are tailored to each client’s risk profile, policies and estate, so checks remain relevant, proportionate and cost-effective.

Following the acquisition of Storecheckers, we now offer nearly 60 years of collective mystery shopping and auditing experience. We work alongside major retail and hospitality brands worldwide, as well as BIDs, councils, educational facilities and gaming centres—supporting both compliance and customer experience objectives.

We are passionate about work that makes a tangible difference. Our programmes help drive reductions in underage alcohol, vape and knife sales, increase investment in safety, and strengthen confidence in frontline delivery. Through safety perception audits developed with BIDs and wider safety audits aligned to Ask for Angela, we support safer venues and contribute to wider efforts tackling violence against women and girls.

Our auditor roles are flexible and genuinely accessible—often a first paid job—building confidence and skills. Auditors are supported by dedicated Area Managers, clear training and briefings, reimbursed travel, and recognition through monthly and annual awards, plus community socials that create belonging.
Innovation
We invest in technology that makes client insight faster and more actionable: our Power BI portal provides near real-time results, optional API integration connects data directly into client systems, and advanced analytics spot trends and target support. We are working on developing and integrating “human +” tools that help our clients act earlier on risk. We’re not replacing our people;we’re empowering them with technology to achieve more, faster, and with greater confidence.
Future
Since going international in 2025, we’re focused on taking our market-leading model worldwide. Over the next five years we’ll expand into more countries, growing our auditor communities internationally and creating flexible auditing roles for thousands of people. In parallel, we’ll bring trusted compliance and customer experience services to more businesses that need practical support—delivering consistent quality, local understanding and reliable results across every market.
