After deciding not to go to university and instead start a consumer business, founder Johnny Lye started Ovrload in April 2024.
Ovrload, a first-of-its-kind brand in the UK supplement space, has grown its customer base to over 100,000 whilst operating in the UK only. Focusing on subscriptions and social media marketing as its main levers, the brand has bought crealyte® (creatine and electrolyte) gummies to market.
Johnny had looked at the state of creatine on the market, and realised that not only was there misinformation and stigma around the creatine compound, but also that even those who were taking it hated taking the chalky, grainy powder on a day-to-day basis. Enter the gummies.
The team is now 5 full-time and rapidly growing, and they have an office in central London.
Going into 2025, the brand is remaining focused on the opportunity in front of them, remaining lean with a limited product count and consolidated marketing efforts.
