Must Have Ideas

Founded in 2018, Must Have Ideas is a fast-growing UK ecommerce brand specialising in unique, problem-solving products.

Must Have Ideas is a fast-growing UK-based online retailer dedicated to delivering innovative, problem-solving products that make everyday life easier.

Founded in 2018 by Amy Knight, her husband Rob Knight, and their friend Chris Finch, the three founders each bring their own skill sets to the business, creating a strong and successful leadership team.

What started as packing orders at their dining room table has grown into a company that now employs over 200 people and, to date, has served more than 10 million customers.

The company specialises in discovering and developing unique, demonstrable products across its kitchen, cleaning, storage, homewares and garden categories. With a strong focus on creativity and originality, each product is carefully selected to ensure it offers something genuinely different and useful. Clear demonstrations and engaging storytelling help customers understand exactly how products work before they buy, creating a transparent and confident shopping experience.

Proudly family-run, Must Have Ideas places customer service at the heart of everything it does. A highly trained in-house customer service team helps deliver a smooth, reliable experience, supported by straightforward returns and fast delivery.

Blending traditional customer values with forward-thinking innovation, the business continues to evolve – embracing new in-house developed technologies, looking for new was to expand its reach and investing in infrastructure to support sustainable future growth. Today, Must Have Ideas stands as a dynamic and ambitious brand committed to redefining modern online retail while staying true to its customer-first philosophy.

Contribution
Since launching Must Have Ideas, we’ve embedded community and sustainability into everything we do, from supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and local initiatives like Help for Ukraine, to creating jobs for over 200 people in Kent. Our eco-conscious efforts include recycled packaging, energy-efficient operations and a growing range of sustainable products.
Support
We’re proud to invest in individual growth through training, mentoring and mapping out clear career progression. Our Real Living Wage accreditation ensures fairness, while perks like generous annual leave, flexible working, free breakfasts, free products, free EV charging, and enhanced parental pay create a culture of care and balance. Through partnerships like Connect to Work, we champion inclusivity, offering opportunities to individuals facing employment barriers.
Innovation
We developed our in-house software platform Spark that integrates every aspect of the business. Spark has replaced costly third-party systems, helped cut delivery times, delivering an even better customer-centric service and contributed to boosting customer retention to 70%. In 2024, we launched the UK’s first AI-powered TV shopping channel, blending technology and storytelling to reach over 10 million UK homes.
Future
Over the next five years, we aim to become a true household name, with at least one of our innovative products in every UK home. We’ll continue launching six new problem-solving products each month, expanding into new categories such as DIY and growing our TV shopping channel across Sky, Freeview, and YouTube. Following a successful pilot, we’re preparing for US and European expansion, bringing our unique offering to global audiences.
