Now celebrating its 13th year, the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, often described as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship” recently shone the spotlight again on the individuals and businesses driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the UK economy. Indeed, the awards ceremony it sponsors acknowledged remarkable stories of entrepreneurial success, perseverance, and vision.
Celebrating exceptional achievement
The ceremony, held on Monday 17th November 2025 at London’s iconic Grosvenor House, brought together 1,350 industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers to celebrate the exceptional achievements of this year’s winners.
Businesses from across ten regions and nations of the UK were recognised in categories such as Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Equity-Backed Entrepreneur of the Year, and many more.

Turning a £10 idea into nationwide success
Simmy and Jhai Dhillon, co-founders of Simmer Eats, were named Great British Entrepreneurs of the Year 2025 turning a £10 idea into a nationwide success without outside investment and exemplifying the originality, grit and spirit of what makes a Great British Entrepreneur.
The awards also inducted three titans of business into their Entrepreneur Hall of Fame: Louise Hill, Co-Founder of GoHenry; Daniel Priestley, Founder of Dent & ScoreApp; and Dodge Woodall, Founder of Bournemouth 7’s and Eventful Lives. These individuals were recognised for not only their own entrepreneurial achievements but their support of the wider eco system and earlier stage entrepreneurs.

The very best of British enterprise
Francesca James, founder of the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, commented: “Our winners embody the very best of British enterprise, (namely) ambitious, resilient and relentlessly innovative.
“This year’s Great British Entrepreneurs of the Year, Simmy and Jhai Dhillon of Simmer Eats, have been celebrated through our awards before, and it’s a pleasure to see them take the top honour, turning a £10 idea into a nationwide success without outside investment.”
Resilience, creativity and determination
Conrad Ford, Chief Product Officer at Allica Bank, added: “What stands out this year is the optimism and ambition that continue to define the UK’s established business community. Having run my own business, I know the resilience, creativity and sheer determination it takes to build something that lasts, especially in challenging times.
“Established businesses are the real economy, making up a third of the UK’s GDP and employment, and represented in every town across the country. At Allica, we’re proud to support and celebrate their contribution through the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and I wish to congratulate the winners and all the great businesses recognised on the night.”
