Farewell to Angela De Souza Founder of Women’s Business Club

Angela De Souza, Founder and long-standing CEO of Women’s Business Club, has announced her decision to step down at the end of 2025, marking a major milestone in the organisation’s history.

After more than a decade of leading and growing the global network for women in business, De Souza is handing over the reins and guiding the company through a bold new phase: a transition to a co-operative business model, giving members the opportunity to become co-owners and active stakeholders in the future of the Club.

“This has been the most meaningful journey of my life,” said De Souza. “Women’s Business Club was born from a desire to support women holistically in business, in leadership, and in life. Now, I’m excited to pass the baton to a new CEO and COO and to our incredible members, as we evolve into a co-operative society by and for women.”

Women’s Business Club, founded in 2013, has supported thousands of women through its national and international events, mentoring programmes, leadership training, and virtual in the Clubhouse. Over the years, it has become a trusted brand for female entrepreneurs and professionals seeking growth, community, and visibility.

The decision to convert to a co-operative society represents a significant shift in both structure and values, aligning with the Club’s long-standing mission of empowerment, ownership, and shared success. Enquiries can be made at https://forms.gle/6RZMj3ioaGBtSJ9Y8 Under this new model:

  • Members will have the opportunity to invest in and co-own the Club;
  • Shareholders will have voting rights on key decisions;
  • Profits will be reinvested into the community and its members;
  • Leadership will become more collaborative and democratised.

The newly appointed CEO and COO will be announced in September. De Souza will continue to support the transition and remain active in an advisory capacity through the end of the year.

The final event of De Souza’s tenure will be the Global Women’s Business Awards, taking place on 3 December 2025. The annual flagship celebration is set to be the most ambitious yet, with attendees from across the globe gathering to honour women’s achievements in business.

“This is not an ending – it’s a legacy handover,” said De Souza. “We’re building something future-focused and deeply impactful. I believe the best is yet to come.”
