From Jay Z launching his own VC firm and taking over music-streaming app TIDAL to Kate Hudson founding fitness fashion brand Fabletics, celebrities are no strangers to entrepreneurialism. Now, Chris Hemsworth is joining their ranks with his own startup.

Having burst into superstardom thanks to his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hemsworth is renowned for his talent as well as his physique. Indeed, you can hardly read an interview with the man without finding out about how his intense workouts and diet whipped him into god of thunder shape. So it certainly makes sense that the self-proclaimed “strongest Avenger” has a new venture in the form of a fitness app called Centr.

By buying app membership, users will be able to tap into everything from Hemsworth’s training regiment to diet plans, albeit customised to each person’s individual fitness level.

The Bad Times at the El Royale actor assembled an A-list team of industry experts as well as his wife Elsa Pataky, a star in the Fast and Furious movie franchise and an avid kickboxing enthusiast, to develop the app.

This team – sadly not referred to as the Revengers – includes Hollywood trainers Luke Zocchi and Gunnar Peterson, special ops trainer Joseph “Da Rulk” Sakoda and vegan bodybuilder Torre Washington. Moreover, users can also tap into the extensive knowledge of gymnastics gold medalist and Hollywood stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, yoga instructor Tahl Rinsky, celebrity boxing trainer Michael Olajide Jr. and chef Dan Churchill.

Commenting on the launch, Hemsworth said: “I believe we all have untapped potential. And we all need support to achieve our goals. Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand, to help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind and a happier life.”

The app is available to pre-order via iOS app, Apple Watch and online from February 2019. Tapping into his stardom to launch a startup certainly seems like it could only become a smash hit, with the potential to hammer away the competition.
